Easy Extreme Pumpkin Carving Techniques

Are you tired of the same old jack-o-lantern each Halloween?  Are you one of those people who have adopted the carving style you knew growing up to one of those stencilers?

The brilliant Tom Nardone wrote his first book in 2007 and has had 3 follow ups.  Take a basic pumpkin, carve it fast but give it a bit of character, maybe a prop or two, and you are done.   He doesn’t respect the pumpkin.  He exploits the hell out of it and the end results are wonderful.

OK… I know…  the real name is “Extreme Halloween:  The Ultimate Guide to Making Halloween Scary Again“, but it is his 3rd book).  I heard him give an interview (some Podcast, I believe) and he was talking about the cover image.  He had initially had a few trick-or-treater dummies in the claws of this monster and the publisher made him remove them.  When you get this book and if you choose to build this creature, honor Tom and put those trick-or-treaters in the claws.
