It was amazing to get up at the wee hours of the morning and trek out to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom to be there for the 40th Anniversary. I arrived at the Transportation and Ticket Center around 7:20 and parked in the 3rd row. The monorails weren’t running just yet, but there was an [...]

Wow. It was rumored and now seems to be true. Amazon’s incredible update to their Kindle… the Kindle Fire! My wife has a Kindle and loves it. I love it too (don’t tell her), but it just didn’t do quite as much as I would like for it too. I’m a fan of the iPad [...]

Halloween was always a big holiday in my home growing up. My father and his buddies were essentially “home haunters” before the term “home haunt” came to be. My dad was an electrical engineer. We had a 5 foot Jacob’s Ladder that he had constructed. Growing up I totally took it for granted. I liked [...]

Trick ‘r Treat is one of my favorite movies. Much like Tales from the Crypt, it has the right mix of horror and dark humor. I read one review saying that it was the ultimate homage to the Halloween holiday. I do not disagree. Here is a short promo that Fearnet put out to promote [...]

Outkast’s “Hey Ya!” was incredibly overplayed when it was released, but don’t deny that you didn’t like it just a bit when you first heard it. We here at the Tambu Lounge aren’t embarrassed to acknowledge such silliness. It also has a lot of covers in all genres. Just found this version by a chap going by the [...]

Brief glimpse, but the Hat Box Ghost was actually installed in the Mansion for a little bit when it was open to the public.

While watching the Darth Vader visits Disneyland video again, I noticed a “secret transmission” tag towards the end. Clicked on it and was presented with this little easter egg.

I’m not a huge fan of taking characters out of their own universe and transporting them into another realm for humor. That said, this actually made me smile a little bit. My favorite scenes are inside The Haunted Mansion and when he lifts the sword from the stone using the force.
