I’m not a big Justin Timberlake fan. Really don’t care for his music. But the guy does have talent. Really, he quadruples the funny on Saturday Night Live when he is on. Wish he was a regular instead of a few of the others. I digress.

JT is getting into the booze business. Why? I don’t know. Maybe that is something to do in your free time when you are rich and date Jessica Biel.

Timberlake doesn’t strike me as a tequila guy. Sammy Hagar is tequila. Vince Neil is tequila. When I try to equate Justin Timberlake with liquor, tequila isn’t the first thing that springs to mind.

Wine? Most definately.
Rum? Not so much rum in and of itself, but a rum cocktail maybe.
Bourbon? Heck no.
Vodka? Yes.

So who is the target for 901 Tequila? No idea. In my opinion, hardcore tequila drinkers are going to stay away from the stuff. Females aged 21 - 30 may go for it, but tequila isn’t known as being female friendly. Well, females get friendly with enough of it and then puke which pretty much ruins the rest of the night for all involved.

Unless it gets high marks by tequila connosiours (The Big Fez is not one), I don’t see this being anything more than a novelty.

I’m sure that most people are going to post this video and comment on the woman who is wearing something she shouldn’t be wearing and dancing a dance that she shouldn’t be dancing.

Not me.

I want to comment on those 20-something young co-eds standing behind her. Are they laughing at her or is this nervous laughter as realization sets in that this is going to be them in a few short years?

“Where the Wild Things Are” Movie Teaser Poster

Growing up this was one of my favorite books. In face, when I went off to college, my “Where the Wild Things Are” book came with me and sat on my desk. It was probably read more times than any textbook I had.

I’m pretty excited about the movie. Spike Jonze is the director. Love his work. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop designed the wild things. This excites me because their being “real” in a physical sense will make them more organic on screen. CGI stuff still hasn’t quite reached the organic point yet.

Now the teaser poster is out. Max is in his suit. Yeah. This is going to be great.

Behind the Scenes of Halloween 2

I know there was a lot of controversy over the remake/retelling/reimagining of John Carpenter’s Halloween, but I really enjoyed Rob Zombie’s movie from a couple of years ago.

He’s in Georgia right now filming the sequel. Scout Taylor Compton (Laurie Strode) is throwing together vlogs and putting them up on YouTube.

I’ve always enjoyed seeing “behind the scenes” footage. Especially when you see details on the set that you normally wouldn’t see on film. In this one, they are in an apartment of two girls that are really into Halloween. The painting on the wall of the hand and finger are similar to something that I would doodle on my desks in high school (and sometimes still doodle on conference room tables).

99 Years of Frankenstein Flicks

Universal’s Karloff Frankenstein may be the most famous version of the story put on film, but Thomas Edison unleashed his vision many years before.

May 18, 1910 saw the debut of Thomas Edison’s silent Frankenstein film.

Wasn’t too bad for it’s day. It is still much better than some of the more modern renditions.

Jennifer Aniston in Leprechaun

Back before she was Rachel on Friends and ex-wife of Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston starred in the modern horror classic “Leprechaun”. Ok, maybe “classic” is a bit of a stretch. Would “cult classic” give it too much credit? The movie is pretty bad. And it is almost in the “so bad it is good” category. Almost.

Who would have thought that there would be a long running series of Leprechaun movies? Not me.

Gonzo Muppet Replica On Sale

The Gonzo Photo Puppet Replica is on sale for $99 with free shipping right now.

I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago and he is amazing. Having had the privledge of seeing an actual Gonzo photo puppet poser up close *and* also seeing the actual Gonzo puppet up close (along with Dave Goelz), I can tell you that this is a wonderful reproduction. It probably the closest thing to owning an actual Muppet that will ever be made available. $99 is a really good deal (it retails for around $200).

The Photo Puppets (or posers) were/are used for still photography. If you remember the old Muppet Magazine with the pictures of celebs with the Muppets, all of those pictures are with posers.

I’m totally in love with this console “wrap” for a flat panel TV. from Wilkerson Furniture. However, after looking at their site, I’m pretty sure that this falls into the “if you have to ask how much, then you can’t afford it” category.

Even so, if you have a little woodworking knowledge, this wouldn’t be a difficult DIY project.
